Ken moved to Toronto in 1989 from Cambodia. He did not speak English at all. He understood that he had to work hard to get the things he wants!

From 1989 - 1992, Ken attended high school full time and worked full time from 4:00 p.m. to midnight at an auto parts maker. Ken attended the University of Toronto, St. George Campus, in 1992, while working full time at a telecom service provider. He continued his education in the evening and graduated in the year of 2000
